TIME STAMP V1.0
(C)OPYRIGHT 1992 BY KENNY DUPUIS
────────────
Introduction
────────────
The purpose of this program is to print the date and time every time the
computer is turned on. I originally wrote this program so that my brother
and I knew what time the computer was used. We've used several other
programs but they write to a log, which means if I wanted to check the
last login, I must make my brother quit what he was doing, TYPE the log,
then take the necessary actions. Now, I just look at the printer and
he can do whatever he wants!
────────────
Instructions
────────────
All you have to do is type "TIMESTMP" from the DOS prompt. I put the command
in my AUTOEXEC.BAT file, which executes the program every time the computer
boots up! The printer must be attached to LPT1 or else the program will
not run. Hopefully, the next version will support other printer ports by way
of a configuration file. If the printer is not turned on and online, the
program will wait until DOS returns the timeout error and give you a message.
It will then attempt to try again. As far as I know, there is no way to abort
the file, not even <CTRL>-<BREAK>! The fee for registration is $5.
────────────
Registration
────────────
Registeration for this program is currently $10. When you register, send in
a 5 1/4" 360KB disk along with the registration form (see REGISTER.DOC). I
will return the disk with the registered version of this program.

Comments

I'd like to release future version of this program, however, I need your
support to do it! Please register this program! Also, I want to produce
more programs of general interest. All this depends on what the response
is to users like you! If you would like to write me, please address it to:

Thanks for your continued support and hope to hear from you!
